I. The fan coil unit has small air output and poor air conditioning effect

In the process of fan coil air supply, it enters the air duct through the return air inlet, and then the fan blows through the coil and sends it into the room. In order to ensure the air quality, a filter screen is usually installed at the air return port to filter dust.

Careful analysis of the reasons for the small air volume: under the normal operation of the fan, the air leakage in the air duct is rare and easy to handle. However, the small air intake is mostly caused by the blockage of the filter screen at the air return outlet. The solution is to clean the filter screen frequently. If the cleaning is not timely, dust and sundries will further stick to the coil fins and wind wheel blades, and the fins will be blocked by dirt, which will lead to the decrease of the ventilation capacity of the fan.


II. The fan coil unit is noisy, and the noise increases with the high wind speed

This phenomenon generally has the following reasons:

Poor damping measures during installation and construction, resulting in resonance during operation;

There are foreign bodies in the air duct;

Fan blades are deformed or motor bearings are damaged, resulting in poor dynamic balance.

At the same time, check whether there is noise when the motor rotates. If there is noise, it is usually caused by abnormal friction caused by damaged motor bearings, so replace the motor bearings.

III. The fan coil motor does not turn

General sequence check:

Check whether the power supply at the coil connection is normal. If there is no power output, first check whether the power supply is faulty, then check whether the speed control switch is damaged. If there is power, first send power to check whether there is buzz and motor heating. If yes, turn the impeller hard to see if it is stuck. If it is not stuck, it cannot rotate normally, or stop when it turns to a certain angle, it is caused by poor starting performance or large resistance.

IV. Fan coil air volume is normal, supply air temperature deviation

Check whether the water supply temperature and water quantity are normal. If the temperature difference between supply and return pipe is large, it is mostly caused by blockage of inlet filter or gas in pipeline. Because the pipeline is blocked or the water flow velocity of stored gas will slow down, the time of flowing through the coil will become longer, the heat exchange will be sufficient, and the temperature difference between the supply and return water will become larger.


V. Fan coil equipment and pipeline dripping

This fault often occurs during the cooling period in summer, which is mostly caused by poor heat preservation and poor drainage of condensate pipeline. In general, there are special-shaped pipe fittings such as valves, filters, hoses, etc., which are not easy to be tightly insulated, and often disassembled in daily maintenance, which easily causes condensate water leakage.

In daily maintenance work, the water receiving tray should be cleaned frequently to prevent impurities from entering the pipeline and keep the condensate pipeline unobstructed. And often check the compactness of pipe insulation. Make sure it doesn't leak, otherwise it will easily pollute the ceiling and cause great trouble.
