How to Calculate Area of Fan Coil

Fan coil, as a multi-series and multi-model refrigeration product, is naturally not unchangeable in application. According to different space sizes, the model sizes of fan coil are also different. Only when the space and cooling capacity are matched can proper comfort be achieved. It will neither cause waste of fan coil, nor be a little worse, so the area of fan coil needs to be calculated.
In fact, the calculation between fan coil and area is also regular: for example, for hotel rooms, the theoretical load is 120W/ m2, the actual load is 150W, and the actual load for shopping malls is 280W/ m2. the selection is based on the cooling capacity of 4-5 m2 /kw, which is mainly based on the cooling capacity of the space.
How is the cooling capacity of fan coil obtained?  In general, the connection for fan coil units is DN20. The water flow rate/flow rate = the internal cross-sectional area of the pipe, and then converted into the internal diameter according to the internal cross-sectional area. The flow rate below the pipe diameter DN50 should not be higher than 0.8m/s. Therefore, the cooling capacity and water flow rate of fan coil units are proportional, complementary and scientifically based.

For example, if there is a room of 100 square meters, how much fan coil is needed?
First, we must calculate the demand for cooling capacity.  The amount of heat dissipation in different functional attribute spaces is different, which is what we need to take into account. For large-scale occasions such as supermarkets with a large number of people, it is calculated at 140-160W per square. For residential rooms, it is calculated at 120-140W per square. After obtaining the demand for cooling capacity, we can obtain the fan coil air volume according to the air volume Q=3100* cooling capacity/air inlet/outlet temperature difference of 10. This formula can then obtain the air volume of fan coil, so basically there will be no too much problem.
Because the construction of different buildings is different, and there are too many functional rooms and fan coil units are widely used, there are different reference standards. There are many factors to consider when calculating the area selection of fan coil units, such as room orientation, heat insulation capacity, heat dissipation, fresh air ventilator function, etc.
