The Canton Fair

 Introduction to the exhibition  The China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, was founded in the spring of 1957 and is held in Guangzhou in the spring and autumn of each year. It is jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and hosted by the China Foreign Trade Center. It is a comprehensive international trade fair with the longest history, largest scale, most complete variety of commodities, most buyers attending the fair, the widest distribution of country regions, the best transaction results and the best reputation in China.

After 63 years of reform, innovation and development, the canton fair has withstood all kinds of severe tests without interruption, strengthened China's trade with the world, demonstrated China's image and development achievements, is a high-quality platform for Chinese enterprises to open up the international market, and is a guiding and demonstration base to implement China's foreign trade development strategy.  It has become the first promotion platform for China's foreign trade, and is praised as the barometer and weathervane of China's foreign trade. It is also the window, epitome and symbol of China's opening to the outside world.

As of the 126th session, the canton fair had a total export turnover of about us $141.2 billion and a total of 8.99 million overseas buyers.  At present, the exhibition scale of each canton fair amounts to 1.185 million square meters, with nearly 25,000 domestic and overseas exhibitors and about 200,000 overseas purchasers from more than 210 countries and regions attending.

The 127th China Import and Export Fair (hereinafter referred to as the Canton Fair) will be held online for 10 days from June 15 to 24.  Holding the canton fair online is an innovative measure to actively deal with the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic and strive to stabilize the basic situation of foreign trade and foreign investment. it is conducive to helping foreign trade enterprises to take orders, protect the market and better play the role of the canton fair as an all-round opening platform.  The Ministry of Commerce will attach equal importance to import and export, do a good job in the docking of production, supply and marketing, actively mobilize all forces, upgrade technical level, expand the scope of enterprises benefiting, improve supporting services, enhance the online experience of enterprises and merchants, and strive to hold an online Canton Fair with "special period, special significance, special measures and special highlights".  Welcome domestic and foreign enterprises and merchants to participate actively.
