Market analysis

Germany is one of the most economically developed countries in the world, ranking third in the world after the United States and Japan.  Germany is the EU's most populous country with 81 million people and is the world's third largest market.  With eastern Germany no longer becoming a drag on the entire German economy and shifting to autonomous growth, Germany is expected to become the economic engine of the European continent again.

According to statistics from Eurostat, the bilateral trade volume between China and Germany from January to June 2015 was 77.48 billion US dollars, of which Germany exported 40.39 billion US dollars to China, accounting for 6.1% of Germany's total exports.  Germany imported 37.09 billion US dollars from China, accounting for 7.1% of Germany's total imports, up 0.9 percentage points.  China is Germany's fifth largest export market and third largest source of imports.  Electromechanical products have always been Germany's largest category of exports to China. From January to June 2015, the export volume was 14.98 billion US dollars, down 20.7%, accounting for 37.1% of Germany's total exports to China.
