Turkey International Air Conditioning Exhibition (ISK-SODEX) was hosted by the famous Hannover Exhibition Company Turkey Branch in Germany. Since its first exhibition in 1997, every pair has been held in Turkey for several years, which was strongly supported by ISKID, a Turkish air conditioning and refrigeration manufacturing association. The number of exhibitions in previous years has been rising continuously. SODEX is the largest air-conditioning exhibition in the border region of Europe and Asia, and the third largest exhibition in the fields of air conditioning, heating, ventilation and refrigeration in the world. As Turkey is located at the turn of Europe, Asia and Africa, it has unparalleled radiation power, and every SODEX has attracted the attention of global manufacturers including China. Market analysis: On March 28, 2018, the National Bureau of Statistics of Turkey released a report on the 29th, saying that in 2017, Turkey's GDP reached about 3.1 trillion Turkish lira (about 850.7 billion US dollars), an increase of 7.4% over the previous year. According to the report, the per capita GDP of Turkey in 2017 was 38,660 Turkish lira (about 10,597 US dollars). In terms of industries, agriculture increased by 4.7%, industry by 9.2%, construction by 8.9%, and service by 10.7%. However, the phenomenon of rapid growth as in previous years has ceased to appear. In the first half of the year, the air conditioning market increased by 2% compared with the same period last year. The Turkish factory in mitsubishi electric started production in December and started shipment in January, which was faster than expected. This factory mainly produces RAC using R32 as refrigerant, which is mainly supplied to European market. The annual production capacity is 500,000 units. LG and Samsung have strong brand advantages in household air conditioners. OEM suppliers from China have also increased. Japanese manufacturers are pushing R32 air conditioner in small steps. In commercial air conditioning, Midea and Bosch cooperated to accelerate the construction of sales channels in Turkey. Hisense also set up a sales company in the country and participated in ISK-Sodex exhibition, and its sales performance began to increase. The chaos of various economic systems in the country has hindered the normal development of the market. In recent years, VRF's sales have been wandering up and down. The sales level of VRF this year is only the same as last year. Daikin has an absolute advantage in VRF market. According to ISKID statistics, Turkey's small split machine market is the third largest market in Europe, next to Italy and Spain.

Exhibition review

In 2018, ISK-Sodex was held in Istanbul, with an exhibition area of 42,000 square meters. There were 880 exhibitors and 84,936 professional visitors from all over the world, and the exhibition area, number of exhibitors and professional visitors reached a new high in the exhibition history.
