In the air-cooled water circulation central air conditioning system, fan coil units are mostly used as indoor terminal equipment.  According to different models, the fan tray pipe can be installed in a variety of ways, including horizontal open installation, horizontal concealed installation, vertical open installation, vertical concealed installation, top suction type secondary air outlet, top suction type four air outlet fan, wall hanging type, etc. Taking the common horizontal concealed installation as an example, the main installation steps are as follows:

03) Hoisting Fan Coil

04) Connecting water pipelines and other links

1. Basic installation requirements

01) Whether the fan coil unit is equipped with return bellows depends on the design.  When the fan coil unit is designed not to return to the bellows, the air return port is directly installed on the suspended ceiling, and the suspended ceiling space becomes a return bellows;  When the fan coil is designed to return to the air box, the air return port installed on the ceiling is connected with the return air box through the air pipe;

02) The length and size of the boom shall be determined by the height of the ceiling on site.

03) Fan coil is fixed by independent supports and hangers.  For concealed horizontal fan coil units, inspection doors shall be reserved at the ceiling to facilitate unit maintenance.

04) According to the design, it is necessary to connect the air supply pipe and the air return pipe. Flexible hose+connection is mostly adopted for the connecting part, and canvas hose or aluminum foil hose is commonly used.

05) The distance is 100mm to ensure the outlet slope;

2. Measurement and positioning

Measuring and positioning refers to drawing a straight line at the selected installation position according to the size of the fan coil to be installed before judging the installation of the fan, and the straight line is used for positioning the installation boom in the next link.

01) Measure the size of the fan coil to be installed, including width, thickness, spacing of hoisting holes, etc.

02) According to the measurement data, scribe the line at the selected installation position to specify the installation position of the hanging rod, and the installed hanging rod is in a straight line;

3. Install the boom

Fan coil units are installed by independent suspenders.  In order to install the boom, drilling holes, installing expansion bolts and then fixing the boom should be done first.

4. Hoisting fan coil

Lift the fan coil box body to the position to be installed, align its four installation holes with the four fully threaded suspenders, penetrate the suspenders into the installation holes, and respectively use fixing nuts and gaskets to suspend the fan coil body on the four suspenders. The installation must be firm and reliable.

01) After the hanger rod is installed in the fan coil installation hole, place the gasket and tighten the fastening nut in turn to complete the hoisting of the fan coil.  During hoisting, to prevent dust from entering the air outlet of fan coil, cloth is needed to cover it.

02) After nuts and gaskets are sequentially inserted on the suspenders, the fan coil box is lifted and the four suspenders are respectively introduced into the four installation holes of the fan coil box;

03) Derrick nuts must have anti-loosening measures to ensure safe and firm installation;

The hoisting height of the fan coil (the length of the hanger rod) is determined according to the installation space and design requirements, and the fan coil can also be installed close to the ceiling.

04) In the space with relatively high room height, fan coil units can be hoisted with longer suspenders to ensure the energy efficiency of the air output from the air outlet.

05) Limited by the height of the installation space or according to design requirements, it can also be installed close to the ceiling.

06) In a space with relatively low room height, the fan coil can be hoisted with shorter suspenders to ensure the reliability and practicability of the installation position.

5. Fan coil unit connected to the water pipeline

After the fan coil box is installed in place, the fan coil inlet, outlet and condensate outlet shall be connected with the inlet, outlet and condensate pipes respectively.

According to the connection relationship between the fan coil and the water pipe, connect the fan coil with the water pipe and tighten the joint to ensure correct, firm and reliable connection.

01) Connect the water inlet of the fan coil with the water inlet pipe of the water pipeline;

02) Connect the outlet of the fan coil with the outlet pipe of the water pipe;

03) Connect the condensing nozzle of the fan coil with the condensing water pipe of the water pipe;
