Fan coil is the end product of the central air conditioning system, which is mainly composed of motor, condenser tube and water receiving plate.  Fan coil units are commonly used in hotels, office buildings, hospitals and other places. At the same time, in order to meet the needs of different places, fan coil units are also designed in different styles, such as horizontal concealed installation, horizontal open installation fan coil units and so on.

Unit hoisting: vertical fan coil unit is installed on horizontal ground;  For horizontal fan coil unit hoisting, it is recommended to use 6-8MM diameter fully threaded screw with flat washer, spring washer and nut to fix it. When hoisting the unit, it should ensure that the water pan slopes to the drain pipe by more than 5 degrees to facilitate condensate outflow.  Attention should be paid to keeping the hoisting of the unit firm, the hoisting point should be tight and firm, with sufficient strength to bear the operating weight of the unit.

Unit installation: when installing the fan coil unit, it is recommended to use flexible connection pipe and raw tape for sealing the connection between the water pipe and the fan coil unit.  When connecting pipes, do not use too much force to avoid twisting crack and water leakage.

Installation of filters: filters shall be installed at the inlet pipe of the unit and the inlet of the chilled water pump to prevent impurities in the water from blocking the coil.  The inlet water of the unit shall be softened to ensure the heat exchange efficiency of the coil.

Valve installation: valves shall be installed at the water inlet and outlet pipes of the unit to facilitate water flow adjustment and timely cut off of water source during overhaul.

Circuit connection: connection of fan coil power supply and switch shall be carried out in strict accordance with the electrical schematic diagram.  Before circuit connection, check whether the voltage, frequency and phase number of the power supply are consistent with the requirements of the unit, and note that the deviation of the power supply voltage cannot exceed 10% of the rated voltage.  It is strictly prohibited to connect multiple units to one thermostat for control.

Since central air conditioning is carried out in coordination with family decoration, after the installation of the fan coil unit, the owner shall also paint and suspend the ceiling of the house. In order to avoid dust and impurities from entering the fan coil unit during the later decoration, the installation personnel shall cover the unit with film or cloth after the installation of the fan coil unit to keep the interior of the fan coil unit clean.
