Introduction to the exhibition

In 2021, the 16th Vietnam International HVAC and Refrigeration Exhibition (HVACRVietnam) was jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and Singapore Infirman Exhibition Group. In 2018, Vietnam achieved a GDP of 5,535.3 trillion Vietnamese dong, or about 242.5 billion US dollars, compared with the previous IMF forecast of 241.4 billion US dollars. The actual GDP of Vietnam is higher than the forecast value. At the same time, Vietnam's GDP growth rate in 2018 is as high as 7.08%, far higher than the target of 6.7% and higher than the IMF's forecast of 6.6%. According to the statistics of the General Administration of Customs of Vietnam, the bilateral trade volume between China and Vietnam reached 106.706 billion US dollars in 2018, an increase of 12.71% year-on-year. China has become the first trading partner of more than 200 countries and regions that have trade relations with Vietnam with bilateral trade volume exceeding 100 billion US dollars. Among them, Vietnam imported 65.438 billion US dollars of Chinese goods, an increase of 11.7% year-on-year; Vietnam exported US$ 41.268 billion of Chinese goods, up 16.6% year-on-year. In 2018, the most imported Chinese goods in Vietnam were machinery and equipment, with an import volume of 12.025 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 10.2%; Next came telephones and parts, computers and electronic products and parts, with import amounts reaching 8.58 billion US dollars and 7.83 billion US dollars, down 1.9% and up 10.6% respectively year on year. In addition, in recent years, the economic and trade relations between China and Vietnam have become increasingly close, and the bilateral trade volume has always maintained double-digit growth. It is expected that the trade volume between the two countries will set a new record in 2020.

As the rapid economic growth supports the middle class, Vietnam has become the second largest air-conditioning market in Southeast Asia, and global air-conditioning manufacturers are competing around Vietnam. Economy and weather have boosted the Vietnamese market, and the domestic air-conditioning market has experienced explosive growth. The continuous high temperature weather, the increase of apartment construction and the acceleration of urbanization have promoted the growth of domestic air-conditioning. Domestic air conditioners increased by 35% compared with the previous year, while commercial air conditioners were mainly large-scale projects. Foreign capital accelerated growth, new projects in hotels and factories increased significantly, and commercial air conditioners increased by 18% compared with last year. Vietnam's political status and economic strength are developing steadily. Urban planning, urban beautification, reconstruction and new construction of more large-scale commercial, industrial and residential projects, coupled with the continuous development of Vietnam's fisheries, food and agricultural products, are in urgent need of various types of refrigeration equipment, ventilation systems and air-conditioning equipment. Vietnam has a strong radiating role in Southeast Asian markets.
