The fan coil unit is sequentially arranged from top to bottom with a total of three nozzles, namely a water outlet pipe, a water inlet pipe and a condensing water pipe.  Fan coil units mainly rely on water circulation to carry heat and cool, which naturally requires water inlet and outlet.  When fan coil units exchange hot and cold air, some water droplets, which are called condensed water, will be generated due to certain physical reasons. These water also need to be discharged, so there is a condensed drain pipe.  This is the function of the three nozzles on the fan coil unit.

The soft connection types of fan coil unit mainly include rubber hose and metal hose. Generally, metal hose will be used for the water inlet and outlet hose of fan coil unit. The main function of hose used here is to play a role in damping vibration, and it can also buffer different pressures caused by vibration, thus greatly reducing the noise problem of fan coil unit.
In addition to vibration reduction and noise reduction, the use of soft connection at the junction of condensing water pipes is also a greater reason for convenient maintenance of condensation blockage. Usually, transparent rubber pipes are used for soft connection of fan coil unit condensing water pipes, so that the condensed water state and whether the pipes are blocked or not can be conveniently observed at any time.
Sometimes the condensing water pipe is blocked and needs to be detached. If metal hose is used, it is inconvenient to observe. Secondly, if metal hose is loaded and unloaded for many times, it is easy to remove wires. Rubber hose can well avoid this problem. Therefore, rubber hose will be selected for the condensing soft connection and metal hose connection will be selected for the return pipe.

The length of the fan coil unit hose should not be too long, which will affect the output of water, and it is best to make a certain slope, and it is best to consult a professional installer.
