The fan coil unit at the end of the central air-conditioning system is a necessary accessory device and an electric two-way valve during installation.

 

Q: What is an electric two-way valve?
Answer:
The electric two-way valve is a supporting product specially used for the central air-conditioning fan coil.
It consists of a driver and a valve body.

 

Q: What benefits does the electric two-way valve bring to your customers?
Answer:

  1. The electric two-way valve can control the opening rate of the fan coil unit in the HAVC system, saving the operating cost for the customer, and the maximum energy saving is more than 80%.
  2. The electric two-way valve can effectively prevent the condensation of condensed water on the fan coil unit in summer.

 

Q: How does the electric two-way valve control the opening rate and condensate condensation?
Answer:
When the indoor temperature reaches the set temperature, the liquid crystal switch controls the electric two-way valve to close, and the water channel of the main engine no longer flows through the fan coil unit, which can reduce the energy consumption and condensation of the water channel.



Q: Can it be used in flammable and explosive situations?
Answer:
An explosion-proof electric three-way valve can be used.
The electric two-way valve has the same function as the electric three-way valve. But the three-way valve has an explosion-proof function.

Use an electric three-way valve in flammable and explosive situations.

The working principle of the electric two-way valve: the driver is driven by a reversible synchronous motor with a magnetic clutch, which can generate stable torque in the case of a standstill. When the valve is fully opened or fully closed, the magnetic clutch is disengaged and the adjustment is stopped.

 

Q: How many electric two-way valves are placed in the whole system?
Answer:
Each fan coil return pipe is equipped with an electric two-way valve.


Please Note:

The system is equipped with an electric two-way valve, which needs to be installed with a differential pressure bypass valve, otherwise, the host will easily report a fault indicating water shortage or the host will shut down.


Reason:
It is related to the working principle of the electric two-way valve. The electric two-way valve is opened to prevent the water source from passing through, and the water source of the main machine’s return water pipeline is reduced, causing the main machine to lack water.

 

The differential pressure bypass valve is installed between the return pipe and the outlet pipe of the main engine.

 

When the water resistance of the fan coil unit is too large, the differential pressure bypass valve is automatically opened, and the water source of the main engine returns to the main engine through the differential pressure bypass valve.

 

The differential pressure bypass valve is installed in the position shown in the figure below. When the differential pressure bypass valve senses the return water pipe of the fan coil unit and the water pressure is too large (the value needs to be calculated and matched, calculated according to the entire water system, if it is not clear, you can Ask me), the differential pressure bypass valve is automatically opened, and the water flow does not pass through the fan coil and flows directly from the differential pressure bypass valve back to the main engine. In this way, it can be ensured that the water flow of the main engine is sufficient to prevent the main engine from reporting a fault or the main engine shutting down due to insufficient water flow.

The electric two-way valve I provide has a brass body, which is more durable.

After installing the electric two-way valve or three-way valve in the water circuit of the fan coil unit of the HAVC system, it is necessary to pay attention to this problem!
 

Notice:
Some dealers told me that the electric two-way valve he purchased, after installation, dripped water in the rainy supermarket weather.

Reason:
In the entire fan coil water system, if the insulation is not in place, there will be temperature differences, humidity, and other reasons to form dripping water.

The degree of cold water in the HAVC system is between 5-7 degrees lower. If the relative humidity in the air is relatively high, condensation will easily form on the outside of the water system pipeline and the metal position of the fan coil to form condensed water.

 

Solution:

  1. The system pipeline can be wrapped with thermal insulation cotton to prevent condensation.
  2. The valve body of the electric two-way valve is made of brass. On the outside of the brass material, there should be a layer of thermal insulation cotton to prevent condensation.
  3. If the electric two-way valve you purchased and used in bulk is not wrapped with thermal insulation cotton on the outside of the brass material, then the product provided by your supplier is unqualified and not in place.
  4. If the quantity is small, you and your customers can package it by yourself; if this happens in bulk, please find your supplier for help.
