Air Inlet, Exhaust Louver, Pipe Well and Other Issues

Phenomenon: Wind noise is generated by air supply and return vents and exhaust louvers.
Centralized air conditioning in a project with uniform air supply and return.  The air return outlet is decorated with buildings, and the hissing noise at the air return outlet is unbearable.

Reasons: The ventilation net area of the air return outlet after building treatment is less than 50% of its outer frame area, which makes the wind speed at the air return outlet close to 5m/s, and the rigidity of the air outlet louver is poor, resulting in additional noise at the air outlet.

Countermeasure: Double the clearance of louver and the problem will be solved.

Phenomena: Noise from the air outlet affects the surrounding environment.
In the exhaust system of a project, the centrifugal fan exhausts air, the suction end is provided with a silencing chamber, the discharge section is discharged from the wall by the building shutter, and the discharge outlet is noisy.

Cause: The net area of exhaust louver is too small, and the wind speed at the exhaust outlet exceeds 10m/s, resulting in noise.

Countermeasures: The louver tuyere was enlarged to make the wind speed less than 6m/s, and the problem was solved.

Phenomenon: tube well problem.  The air conditioning and water supply and drainage pipelines of a joint venture hotel are all located in tube wells, which are sealed.  All the hot and cold water pipes are copper pipes, which often leak now. A leak is always found on the first floor, but I don't know which layer of pipes has problems.  Whenever a house's pipe leaks, it is necessary to dismantle the pipe well wall from the first floor, look up one floor at a time, and find it only after finding nine floors.  Since it was put into production, it is a big problem that three plumbers tear down the wall every day to make up the leakage.

Reason: The joint of copper pipe is prone to problems on the wall side. Because the designed tube well is too small, it is very difficult to install, and it is completely sealed and cannot be repaired.

Countermeasures: This project can't be changed, and only as a lesson in future projects, installation and maintenance must be considered when determining the pipe well size, which can't just be regarded as saving investment.

The tube well size of a hotel room is 2.8m×0.8m, with 6 air conditioning pipes and 6 water supply and drainage pipes, which are considered satisfactory in design and use and can be used for reference.
