Fan coil units are referred to as fan coil units.  It is one of the terminal devices of air conditioning system composed of small fan, motor and coil (air heat exchanger).  When chilled water or hot water flows through the coil pipe, it exchanges heat with the air outside the pipe, so that the air is cooled, dehumidified or heated to adjust the indoor air parameters.  It is a common cooling and heating terminal device.

According to the structural form, it can be divided into vertical type, horizontal type, wall-mounted type and clip type, among which vertical type is divided into column type and low type.  According to the installation method, it can be divided into open installation and concealed installation.  According to the direction of water inflow, it is divided into left type and right type.  All wall-mounted fan coil units are open-air units with compact structure and good appearance, which are directly hung above the wall.  Cassette (ceiling embedded) unit, the relatively beautiful air inlet and outlet are exposed under the ceiling, and the fan, motor and coil are placed above the ceiling, which belongs to semi-open installation unit.  The open-air units have beautiful housings with air inlets and outlets, which are installed in the room in the open air.  The outer shell of the concealed unit is generally made of galvanized steel plate.
Fan coil units are divided into two types according to the external static pressure: low static pressure type and high static pressure type.  The outlet static pressure of the low static pressure type unit is 0 or 12Pa at the rated air volume, and the outlet static pressure of the unit with tuyere and filter is 0;  For units without tuyere and filter, the outlet static pressure is 12Pa；;  The outlet static pressure of the high static pressure unit shall not be less than 30Pa at rated air volume.

Environmental requirements
1. The inlet cold water temperature of fan coil unit shall not be lower than 5℃, otherwise it may cause condensation of the unit;  The temperature of inlet hot water should not be higher than 80℃ (60℃), otherwise it may cause corrosion of copper tubes of unit heat exchanger.
2. It is suggested that the operating ambient temperature of fan coil units should be 16 ~ 36℃ for cooling and 10 ~ 30℃ for heating.  Air relative humidity ≤90%.
3. Fan coil units are only used as comfort air conditioners and should not be used in special occasions.
4. Do not install fan coil units in areas with corrosive gases.
